Getting on the hype train

Almost a year ago, I saw everyone posting on X and Linkedin about how they automated their marketing with AI. The tools looked legit and the landing pages were slick.
I couldn’t keep myself from signing up.
So I did. Month one was better than I expected. I had new keywords I had started ranking for and few blogs on the keywords where I had no chance ranking. It felt like I’d found a cheat code.
45-50 days in, I stopped checking. I trusted the system. I thought I should use all my time in building a better product.

That was the end of me…

A decision that got me where I am today. Automating the result without a human to check it, is a choice I will never make again. And I’m telling it to all the people who are serious about their product!
Do not leave all the marketing decisions to AI. Do not let a single AI output go to the world without your review.
I know this is something completely opposite of what the world is telling you write now. It wants you to automate everything which requires no human intervention but that is a recipe for a disaster.
Use AI as an helper, not a replacer. Especially where stake matters!

Twice a month I share my learnings and insight on building products.
