When a new year starts, update the existing post instead of creating a new one. Google already knows and trusts the page, and it has built up ranking history over time. By refreshing the title and content, the page often has a better chance of ranking quickly for the new year. Also, update the "Last Updated" date in both the schema markup and the page content so search engines can see that the content is current.
